Most scholars on NSA campus like lunch recess more than morning recess.  4th grader Tyson said he likes lunch recess more,  “because you have recess on a full tummy.”

Although a majority of people go to the playground at lunch some kids go to the library. 3rd grader Mia says, “ I like morning recess better because at lunch I go to the library.”

One of the most popular recess games is kickball. 4th grader Will said, “ I like kickball because it’s fun and you get to kick something.”

Four square is another of the most popular recess games.  4th grader Jackie said, “ I like four square because it is the fairest and most fun recess game.”

Many scholars have opinions about how recess here is different from recess at their old school. 4th grader Tori said “ I like this school recess better because it is funner with my new friends.”

There are both new and old versions of tag, for example warp tag, have you ever heard of it? 3rd grader Emi said, “ I like playing regular tag because when you play the other versions of tag it gets too confusing.”
