The ref blows the whistle! You score a touchdown! 4th graders are passionate about their sports.  Some of the sports they have been playing are . Football, wall ball, and kickball are among the most popular sports in 4th grade.  While fun, students who don’t play carefully can get injured.

“I got hit in the head by a football.” Jackie K, a 4th grader, and added that he also got injured during football. 

Butts up was banned by Principal Crane about 6 years ago. But now, it is coming back since state testing is over. Now it is super popular.

Football is widely known around the United States. It is a game where one team tries to get the ball to the goal called the end zone. 4th graders play this sport, and sometimes 5th graders try to steal the ball, which leads to 4th graders trying to get the ball back and sometimes fights or arguments.

Mr. Robinson likes football; he says football is a very fun sport. He also thinks that people should not argue over sports because they can do-over and harm other people physically and hurt their feelings.
Elliot R from 4th grade says sometimes the arguments over sports can be hurtful, and raging (a way of being mean and angry). Emotions can get worked up when people insult you or don’t play fair, , many scholars say.

During the year, these straightford sports games were loved by many 4th graders. Although not everyone plays sports  it is very important to acknowledge them and support the people who play them.  After all, sports can bring people together, or tear people apart.
