Blisters, fights, and injuries are just a few problems that have occurred on the playground. However, it’s not all bad, scholars have stated that the playground is spacious and has a variety of equipment. Some of our students’ favorite equipment are the monkey bars, the slides, the rock wall, and of course, the swings.
Although the playground is very spacious, it is still overly crowded. One of the most crowded areas are the swings. 3rd grader Carolina states that, “The swings are excessively crowded, so there should be more of them.” Students must get there super early, or wait for people to get done, which usually takes an extra long time. Although time limits have been enforced, this does not stop students from breaking the rules and spending as much time as they want on them. 5th Grader Ella says “We should have a person limit because the playground is so crowded.”
The variety of equipment is superb! Yet, it still does not exceed scholars’ expectations. Many students believe we should add more swings instead of simply the four that we currently have. Many individuals want larger and greater equipment, for example, a large slide. “I think that we should definitely add a seesaw,” was said by 5th grader Katherine.
There are numerous unsafe problems about the playground. To give you an idea, 8th Grader Zoe says, “There is way too much running on the playground which is quite dangerous.” One thing that came up often was the spinning bar on the playground, which is hazardous due to the ability to spin off of it. One excessively unsafe thing is the firefighter pole you can slide down. “You can often get blisters by siding down the pole,” says 5th grader Mina. Additionally, you can get your leg stuck or get stuck down the middle. Many students think that the playground is not a safe environment for scholars at this school.
Although we have listed many problems there are also many satisfactory items about the play structure. One common favorite is the swings. The swings are by far the best piece of equipment,” says 3rd grader Ivana. Many people also like the slides most. “The monkey bars are my favorite,” 3rd grader Kate stated. Some kids also enjoy the rockwall the most.
A huge amount of students also have thoughts stating the playground is grimy and needs to be washed. “There are too many spiderwebs all over the playground,” announced 5th grader Ella. The playground definitely needs a deep cleaning. “The playground has so many germs,” 5th grader Riley says. Plus the playground is always covered in dirt!
There are many different opinions that people have about our school playground. Some people believe that the playground is germy, crowded and covered in cobwebs while some people think that it is large, thrilling and has many different pieces of equipment. Some people think the playground is unsafe but students need to refrain from using unsafe gestures and doing unsafe things to create a safe playground environment for all scholars to enjoy.
