Imagination & Empathy

Imagine & Empathy was one of the activities offered in Festival of Words.  The first things that happened in imagination and empathy was meeting the author of a book.  Then we played 3 truths and a lie, and she even read a little bit of the book that she wrote. After that, she explained the the character traits of Vee, the main character. She asked us to make a brainstorm about a character and their traits, and then she asked us to write a scene of our character we had created. G

Daniil Gurenkov, a fourth grader in Ms. Rinehart’s homeroom, said “I liked Imagination and Empathy because we could make up our own characters and did not need to use other characters from other stories.” Daniil also said “The author who came to us could improve on making the introduction shorter and the story reading and the making up the character longer.”

Fourth grader Aditya G said “I liked the imagination and empathy because the author who came to us was very funny and nice. Also she let us write our own character with their own character traits.” Aditya also said “I think that the author who came can improve on making the subject a little bit more interesting and getting to the point faster.”
