The cornhole league for 3-5 grade and the basketball league for 6-8 grade have started! On Monday September 8, the first basketball and cornhole games were played. People started watching them, thinking they were interesting. “The games will end in only a month or a month-and-a-half,” says Coach Angel.
There are a total of nine cornhole teams and eleven basketball teams. Each team plays at least twice a week.
In the basketball league, they play with 1s and 2s for scoring, and they play up to the score of 21, but they have to win by at least two points. For the cornhole league, they score by: if you get the beanbag on the board, you get one point, and if you sink it in the hole you get three points. They go up to the score of 20, and you don’t have to win by a certain amount.
They are some of the more fun things that people do or watch at lunch because you can’t play Uno anymore. After the cornhole games end for the day, some people play with their friends on the courts. Have fun with all of North Star’s sports!
