Have you ever thought about creating an entire city out of paper? Here at North Star Academy (NSA), 4th grade has been making an entire city out of paper. Depending on their shape, chosen by random, there are a certain number of steps to build the city. First, scholars must plan out the city.
“Many people think it is extremely exciting to build a city for all our classes,” spoke a 4th grader named Teddy. Teddy has beliefs that it’s a great opportunity to learn and it’s an excellent experience many scholars should look forward to. 4th grader Aiden expresses himself saying, “It would be much more entertaining if you could work as a group to create around 6 or 7 buildings and then put it into the amazingly big city”. 4th grader Sam thinks “It would be improved if Mr. Carranza provided the poster paper instead of instructing us to buy it.”
“Building a paper building is easy but when it comes to finding the area and perimeter it becomes a little hard”, says Colin. Building it is going to take a long time. The due date of this amazing project is December second 2025.
Most students think that the part that will take the longest is to decorate and place their 3D building. When they are done they can build another building. Mr. Carranza said that at max there could be 3 buildings per person and said that the best way to make more shapes is to stack the shapes into one building. Some kids are so into it that during their lunches they come into Mr. Carranza class and work on their building.
Clearly Gryphon Gazette is a fun project for all 4th graders to enjoy. It teaches them how to build shapes and decorate them. It is something all 3rd graders should look forward to.
