Last Saturday night from 6 – 9 pm, the North Star gym turned into a haunted house filled with music, laughter, and cool costumes for the Halloween Dance. The event brought together students from 6th,7th, and 8th grade levels to celebrate the spooky season in style.
The middle school dance is a popular school event that happens once a year and is one of the most popular events. Students arrived in many different costumes such as princesses and onesies. “Amazing, the songs were so fire,” says 6th graders Milana and Nandini.
The music was loved by everybody who went to the dance. The DJ was cooking up song transitions like grandma’s homemade cookies. The favorite transition was FE!N by Travis Scott and Playboi Carti into Eldest Daughter by Taylor Swift.
“The food was OK, I wish there was more though,” says Pierre, a seventh grader. There was cheese and pepperoni pizza, sodas such as Fanta and tons of Halloween candy. There was also a snow cone truck “Kona Ice” which was also liked.
As students left, still wearing their costumes and carrying leftover candy, many said this was the best dance they’d been to. With thrilling decorations, great music, and plenty of spooky spirit, this year’s Halloween Dance proved to be a fun time for all.
