From Filoli Garden to Stanford University, all day enrichment will have a variety of exciting trips and activities. Each enrichment class is going to have a sensational time on their unique trips.
The Junior Leadership enrichment, taught by Ms. Tickel is going to Filoli Garden which is located in Woodside, California. At the beautiful garden, they will get to do an exciting scavenger hunt all around the stunning garden.
“I am thrilled to go, but I don’t believe it exactly relates to our enrichment class,” states 5th graderJulia.
For the capstone project enrichment, they will be visiting the California Academy of Science. The students will be looking around and observing different exhibits.
“An exhibit that piques my interest would be to see the albino alligator, Claude,” says 8th grader Ellie.
Ms Klingele’s enrichment, Environmental Sustainability, will be riding on a boat in the San Francisco Bay that has a marine science institute on it. The scholars will be learning about different aspects of nature. This destination will definitely help the students learn more about their enrichment topic.
The tech enrichment and the improv enrichment will be going to the tech museum to visit different exhibits. The scholars in tech are very excited about this trip because they are going somewhere related to their enrichment. However, the students in improv are confused if this destination relates to the topic of their class.
“I don’t understand why we are going to the tech museum, but I have thoughts that it will be fun,” 5th grader Vega remarks.
As for the short story writing/gardening enrichment, they will also be visiting Filoli Garden. Students will be doing a writing challenge that is based on what they are seeing around them.
“I am ecstatic that I will be able to get inspiration for the novel I am writing from the gorgeous garden.” 6th grader Sophie comments.
Lastly, the Gryphon Gazette will be going to Stanford University to learn about being a reporter from the college students that are in the school newspaper.
“I believe that this experience will help me learn about being a reporter in a newspaper in case this is something I want to pursue in the future,” said 5th grader Rosha.
Overall, the NSA enrichments our team interviewed will be attending exciting places for all day enrichment. Some of these places will help scholars learn more about the topic they are interested in for their enrichment.
